I’m getting ready for a fun day tomorrow at the Warrenton-Fauquier Heritage day in Warrenton, Va.

The Heritage Day celebration honors the 250 years of history in Fauquier County and Warrenton’s National Designation as a “Preserve America Community.”

I attended last year and really enjoyed the parade, which this year will include cavalry riders in “A Ride with Mosby’s Men.” There will also be living historians, hands-on demonstrations, period entertainment, historic lectures, a children’s activity table, town tours, and heritage displays.

I’ll be signing copies of my Civil War novel Shades of Gray and will have the opportunity to chat with other Civil War authors. I’ll also be taking pictures of some historic sites to share next week in my blog.
